The Little Brother of the Smart Just Got BIGGER

The Smart LPV reserve combines over 30 years of experience in building reserve parachutes with the benefits of our Low Pack Volume (LPV) material. Like the Smart reserve, the Smart LPV offers fast and reliable openings, solid flight performance, and a powerful landing flare—but it packs significantly smaller than its big brother. This means you can choose to have a larger reserve parachute available when you need it most.

The Smart LPV’s construction utilizes 0-3 cfm high-tensile, low-porosity ripstop fabric, Spectra lines, and sufficient reinforcement tapes. Additional strength is achieved through lateral reinforcement bands between the line attachment points.

All this has resulted in a reserve parachute capable of withstanding the shock loads associated with today’s higher freefall speeds while still providing acceptable opening forces for the jumper. It also offers an impressive glide ratio for a 7-cell canopy, significantly increasing the chances of reaching a favorable landing area. Subjected to rigorous testing and audits of our production facilities, the Smart LPV is certified under the U.S. FAA TSO-C23d and European ETSO-C23d standards.
